The bus system is often a vital mode of transport for many who lack the funds or the ability to possess a car. In this project, we compare bus stops with high boarding rates with average income by area in order to identify any correlation or pattern between the two. We hypothesized we will see a negative trend between the average income and the amount of stops in the area as well as boarding rates. To accomplish this, we created a table linking bus stops to their boarding data and generated a raster image of bus stop density. We then compared these to a digitized feature class of average income by area, and found a correlation between the density of access to MST resources and area income.
