Drexel University: The Environmental Collaboratory – Resilient Communities Partnership

The Environmental Collaboratory – Resilient Communities Partnership Program at Drexel University launched in 2020 after having long standing relationships with agencies and governmental offices within the City of Philadelphia, including the Philadelphia Water Department, Office of Sustainability, and the Department of Public Health, as well as major companies and organizations in the region

This Program emerges from the creation at Drexel of a comprehensive institutional climate and sustainability agenda that integrates planning and programming in the university’s academics, operations, and public engagement. Texas Tech University: Resilient Communities Initiative

The Resilient Communities Initiative Program at Texas Tech University was established in 2020 with the intention of ensuring the social and economic vitality of South Plains and its citizens by leveraging the resources of the university with those of communities. Since its inception, the Resilient Communities Initiative Program has formed a number of partnerships with surrounding communities that focus on a wide range of projects spanning from coral reef research initiatives to music and arts-based work.

California State University, Monterey Bay: Sustainable City Year Program

The Sustainable City Year Program at CSU Monterey Bay was established in 2015 through a partnership with the City of Salinas. SCYP looks to engage campus faculty, staff and students with regional municipalities to help them work on projects of their choosing that will enhance their sustainability, whether it be environmental sustainability, human health and well being, equity and/or social justice. In their work to advance this mission, the Sustainable City Year Program has partnered with five cities and worked on countless projects.

Montana State University: CATS Program

Logo CATS Community-engaged and Transformational Scholarship

Established in 2018, the Community-Engaged and Transformational Scholarship (CATS) program works to establish meaningful and large-scale partnerships with local communities through course-based project collaborations. The CATS program is currently in a 3-year long partnership with the City of Bozeman which began with three “pilot” projects during the 2018-2019 academic year.
