The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is an international graduate-level institution focusing on engineering, environment, and management studies. Founded in 1959, today, AIT is one of the most internationally recognized institutions in Thailand and one of the most active in supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The institution is keen on collaborating with various stakeholders in development projects. It is one of a few universities around the world that offer on-demand sustainable programs such as the Master Program in Marine Plastics Abatement and the Environmental and Social Sustainability Assessment and Management.

Despite being an English-medium institution with a large number of international students, AIT has been working with several entities in Thailand. By adopting the EPIC Model, AIT’s graduate students will be assisting the Thaklong Municipality in tackling the problem of waste management.

AIT joined the EPIC-N in 2021 and it is the reception of the UNEP-GAN Seed Grant.
