Building Partnerships, RFPs, MOUs, Scopes, and Contracts

Following the EPIC Model means building genuine partnerships between communities and universities. To do so, EPIC programs generally rely on a Request for Proposal (RFP) and a contracting process.

Request for Proposal

The University of Oregon’s request for proposal encourages community partners to demonstrate that they are invested in a big way. Download the example here.

Partnership Agreement Contract

Programs use many variations of this form of partnership agreement. The University of Tennessee, Knoxville uses the version you see here to ensure every stakeholder is on the same page before starting a partnership. Download the example here.

More Resources to Help Build Partnerships

EPIC-N categorizes the various strategies and forms of partnerships. The EPIC-N Toolbox for members provides access to those categorized resources. Fill out this form to request other resource examples and learn more about joining as a member here.
