Old Town Pfugerville serves as an important anchor in the city. It
captures the city’s historic character while showcasing the potental
for Pfugerville’s future development. The city has undergone multple
community engagement processes to understand community needs,
desires, and visions for the future of Old Town. The “Old Town
Pfugerville Vision Report”, “2030 Comprehensive Plan”, and a 2017
survey identfed priority characteristcs for Old Town Pfugerville. In
general, residents support a growth strategy centered on mixed-use
development that emphasizes walkability. They expressed support for
increasing the presence of public service buildings, like City Hall, in
Old Town and combining that with social event spaces. Additonally,
residents have identfed a number of future retail optons to increase
evening entertainment including: restaurants and cafes; locally
owned boutques and stores; entertainment venues; and, drinking
establishments.
