The Town of Gilbert’s Environmental Services Division manages solid waste services for the quickly-growing Town of over 270,000 residents. With a fast-growing population resulting in increased need for solid waste services, the Environmental Services Division is interested in exploring how the Town may more efficiently manage its fleet and equipment to continue to provide high-quality services to Gilbert residents. Undergraduate students studying transportation engineering will collaborate with the Town of Gilbert to leverage data from the Environmental Services Division to evaluate and propose opportunities for increased efficiency and optimization in current and future systems.
