Welcome Ada Inman, EPIC-N’s new Program Support Coordinator

Ada Inman is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she obtained a degree in Environmental Studies and International Studies along with a certificate in Public Policy. Since graduation, she has started a full-time position with the Center on Wisconsin Strategy (COWS), a think-and-do tank that promotes high road solutions to social problems. Marshall Curry brings experience and expertise to support, grow, and strengthen the EPIC-Network

Marshall Curry joined EPIC-N in September 2017. He manages day-to-day operations, provides support to member programs, board members. Curry lives in his hometown Springfield, Oregon. He received an MPA and MS in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon in 2018 and received his BA in Sociology from Willamette University in 2013. During graduate school, he worked for the Sustainable Cities Institute and Inflexion, managing programs, and assisting executives addressing different aspects of career readiness in higher education and public schools respectively. Prior to graduate school, he managed workforce development programs and volunteer operations at Marion Polk Food Share. His experience supporting nonprofit associations includes serving on the Ford Scholar Alumni Association (2013-2018) board of directors as Vice President and Member-at-Large, preparing a diversity and inclusion report for the American Society of Association Executives, and volunteering with the alumni association for his alma mater. Adam Shipley uncovers uniqueness of the EPIC-Network through writing during his EPA internship

Adam Shipley joined the City of Maricopa in 2018 as the Economic Development Management Analyst. While pursuing his Bachelor’s in Urban Planning, Adam began his professional career by targeting areas prime for conservation with City of Phoenix Water Services Department. After being promoted to Economic Development Coordinator, Adam is now the project liaison for the City’s biggest commercial projects, small entrepreneurial ventures, and everything business in between. Adam is an environmental sustainability advocate, and in his spare time enjoys traveling, art, cooking, and spoiling his Chiweenie. Laura Bloch supports the development, growth, and success of EPIC-N and its members

Laura Bloch has worked in the environmental field for more than 20 years on projects and programs with all levels of government, academia, non-profits, and industry. She is currently the Sustainability Adviser for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 9 where she works on both regional and national policies and initiatives to enhance sustainability and resiliency. She led U.S. EPA, Region 9 in the design and implementation of its ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System (EMS), and champions visionary initiatives that minimize environmental impacts of internal operations and programs. For example, she helped develop the national Sustainable Grants Policy based on a successful policy she championed in Region 9. She has also developed and implemented several training programs to enhance sustainability nationally and with other agencies. Laura has been recognized through several national awards including the James W. Craig Pollution Prevention Leadership Award. Dr. Bloch received her Doctorate degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. […]

Josephine Justin illuminates impact of EPIC-Network programs through analysis during her EPA internship

Josephine Justin is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is majoring in Political Science and Communication Studies. She is currently interning with the US Environmental Protection Agency and is working on projects with their partner, the EPIC-Network. After graduation, she hopes to do her masters in Urban Planning with a concentration in environmental planning.
