2019 EPIC-Network Conference at the University of South Florida
April 7 - 10 | University of South Florida | Tampa
Every spring, the EPIC-Network hosts a conference and workshop for university representatives, local government officials, and organizational partners interested in adopting, adapting, and/or enhancing the EPIC Model for their institutions and communities. We are pleased to announce that the University of South Florida's Community Sustainability Partnership Program will be hosting the eighth annual conference April 7-10, 2019! There are two primary outcomes attendees receive from attending: 1) Inspiration and support to launch new programs; and 2) Expertise shared by other EPIC programs about ways to continuously improve.
New to EPIC-N or the EPIC Model? The conference provides newcomers with all the tools you need to get started. Before the conference you can learn more about the EPIC Model and how EPIC programs use the model, or send questions to our helpful support staff Marshall Curry.

This annual conference has been a primary method for launching the 30+ EPIC programs currently operating. For those new to the EPIC Model, our goal during this conference and workshop is to present how and why this flexible and adaptable model can work for you. We also plan to help you actually 'Just Start' working on a your pilot partnership during the conference. Many existing programs launched while attending a previous EPIC-Network Conference. Our flexible model allows some programs to start implementing in the Fall, while others used the information learned at the conference to embark on a planning year before their launch.
Ideally, attendees come with a team of representatives from their community. For new attendees, it is ideal to bring two university representatives along with one interested community representative looking to learn more about partnering in future years. For returning university attendees, participation of your next year's community partner is a great way to get them fully up to speed about the breadth and depth of the partnership model. You will also be encouraged to actively work on setting up the partnership during the conference. If you have questions about who to bring, please ask us at email@example.com.
For observers interested in how EPIC helps translate knowledge and policy to practice while developing the next generation workforce this conference is an excellent opportunity to learn the details of the EPIC Model. Come join us and learn from those who successfully adopted and adapted the elements of the EPIC Model for their own contexts and issues.
