The mission of this program is to advance and improve research and education at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés. The program is hosted within the Institute of Geographical Research (IIGEO). The IIGEO is a geographical research center created within the Geography Department.
The IIGEO has been working primarily in Bolivia for 20 years, in places like the Amazon, the Chaco, and the Altiplano.
