Community Science and Resilience Workshop to Support Potential NSF Funding Track

Join AGU for a half-day online workshop on 7 October 2022 to demonstrate the need for the National Science Foundation to launch a new track on Community Science, Citizen Science, and Community Resilience. This track is one of several that NSF is considering for its convergence accelerator initiative. If the agency adopts our ideas, it would make tens of millions of dollars of funding available as early as 2023 to diverse, multi-sector, multi-discipline groups using citizen and community science to advance community resilience.
Community representatives, non-profit leaders, participants in community science, members of academia, and most importantly, you are invited to participate in two ways:
- Register to join us on 7 October 2022 online for a half-day workshop to discuss ideas to include in a report to NSF advocating for this new grant funding track.
- Submit an idea by 26 September 2022, 2 p.m. EDT for discussion at the workshop.
