Who's In the Network

The Programs of the EPIC-Network

To date, there are over 25+ active programs in the United States and in Israel. In May 2017, EPIC held a conference in Bonn, Germany to help bring the model overseas, hosting representatives from 15 countries spanning Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Central and South America, along with representatives from the United Nations (UN), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the International City Managers Association (ICMA) and ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability.  An Africa-specific training will take place in November 2017.

Perhaps the most comprehensive effort by a university to infuse into its curricula sustainability and community outreach

EPIC Africa

EPIC Africa was established during the first ever EPIC Network workshop in Africa that took
place in Cape Town Nov. 18 and 19, 2017. Dr. Gilbert Siame was nominated the founding Coordinator
while Dr. Sean O’Donoghue was elected as Co- Coordinator. The 26 Africa based workshop
participants committed to support EPIC Africa
by continuing their innovations seeking to create value for communities, municipalities, and
universities. The network is open to all Africa based Universities and local Authorities interested in applying the EPIC Model in their community.
